8DIO Epic Taiko Ensemble is the most comprehensive and deep sampled collection of Ensemble Taiko on the market. The library was recorded in our signature Cathedral and comes with two microphone positions (close and mid)....

Epic Taiko Ensemble follows the same principles established in our other epic percussion libraries in terms of articulations, velocity layering and round robin. Articulations have up to 8 velocity layers and all sampled at 10 round robin (aka repetitions). We sampled all the classic Taiko drums from the big sounding, O-Daiko, Nagado Daiko to the smaller and more snare like, Shime. In addition we also played the drums with hands and alternative stick types – and we got the most comprehensive collection of clacks made with different type of sticks and by hitting the rims of the larger Taiko drums.

In addition we also recorded a comprehensive amount (+1.6GB) of ensemble loops with the Taiko Ensemble. The loops were recorded at 80, 90, 100, 110, 120, 130 and 140 BPM. The loops are intended to be used as stand-alone and/or in combination with the multi-samples. The loops contain both classic Taiko style rhythms and more contemporary rhythms for film scoring etc.

One of the oldest instruments in existence, the Ney has been played for about 5000 years. Its distinguished sound reminiscent of deserts and oasis, this instrument can add an ethnic flavor to your compositions that is unmatched in its deep soulfulness and truthful timbre. The Ney’s breathy tone will transport you to ancient times and faraway places and capture your audience with an enchanting quality.

In line with previous Sonokinetic libraries such as the classical Kemençe, Shahrazad and Sultan Drums, this Ney is captured in high fidelity audio quality, and it ships with a built-in musical heritage. Our Ney player Ahmet Cemal Oksuz blessed us with a deep understanding of both traditional heritage and a cinematic approach with regards to his playing. The instrument is a perfect match with the styles and flavors in other Sonokinetic ethnic sampled instrument and vocals.

For this production we sampled phrases in different Makams (middle eastern scales) using proprietary Ney flutes, the Neys used are Mansur, Kiz, Bolâhenk, Husseini and Sipürde. For the playable legato and staccato instrument we focused on the Mansur Ney, this being the most all-round of all the flutes, with the largest range.

This Ney sample library is based on musical structures similar to the ones found in other Ethnic sampled instruments by Sonokinetic, making this a valuable addition to and perfect match with your Sonokinetic sampling products. Based on more than 10 different styles these performances are divided in traditional songs and improvisations. Where the songs focus more on melodies within a particularly Middle Eastern tone scale, improvisations use this tone material focus on a more ‘cinematical’ melodic approach.

This instrument ships with an intelligent legato scripted instrument, giving you an opportunity to play this instrument in real time and create your own melody lines, complete with transition notes and looped sustains.

Recorded at Sonokinetic Studios in Istanbul with our renowned and awarded sound team and Ney master Ahmet Cemal Oksuz, we’re very proud to release this unique instrument. We hope it will give you as much inspiration as it gave us and will suit your scoring template with elegance.

The Solo Taikos also contains a variety of alternative articulations like different stick types, taikos played with hands, rimshots and clacks. It is common for Taiko ensemble to supplement the Taikos by playing on a metal barrel, which evidently symbolizes the barrel of a cannon.

STORMDRUM all started when producer NICK PHOENIX decided to go down to the Record Plant in Los Angeles to record some big film grooves for movie trailers he was working on. He hired some the best percussionists in the world (Tal Bergman, Richie Garcia, Michito Sanchez), and filled up Studio A with hundreds of drums.

The Record Plant said they had never seen anything like it. After a complex setup, they were ready to roll. Everything was recorded through Neuman mics into an SSL Console to 2 inch analog tape and later transfered to 24 bit, 88.2 digital. Now, after years of recording, editing, and programming, STORMDRUM has arrived!

The aim of the project is to make the concert organ from Litomysl (Grygar, 2001) available for the Hauptwerk software sampler. This modern organ is large enough (4 manuals + pedal, 51 sounding stops) to fit the needs of any organ music style, early Spanish music, French or German romantic music, German baroque, XXth century music or anything else you can imagine.


The organ was sampled very accurately on 1:1 basis using professional digital equipment of the 24bit/48kHz resolution. The stereo O.R.T.F. norm was used as the recording technique. Each tone of each stop has been captured several times to assure the best possible results. Long samples up to 9 seconds were taken.

Ambiental recording was employed, mics were placed some 13 m apart from the instrument, roughly one third of the length of the church building away from the instrument, suspended high in the air (in the height of the prospect pipe mouths). This ensures very detailed and present sound while the acoustics of the building are preserved very faithfully.

Culled from his decades-in-the-making personal collection of world instruments, it's a head-spinning wealth of One shots, jungle-primed loops, and the authentic stems. This pack features over 1 Gb of Bashiri goodness at your disposal, there are grooves for any style you see fit.


A studio guru as well as a fabled live performer, Johnson is one of the most prolific and sought-after percussionists this side of the galaxy. Revered by producers and stars for his soulfulness and intuition, Bashiri is a world class musician and he has performed and recorded with the likes of Beyonce, Jay-Z, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Miles Davis and the Rolling Stones.

Precise and powerful, Bitz & Piecez Vol.1 was recorded by NYC's famed Roc Isaacs, who put to tape such names as Run DMC, Mary J. Blige, and Ziggy Marley. Isaacs rendered the cream of Bashiri's collection in glistening 24-bit, 44.1-kHz samples, while Industrial Strength's Lenny Dee remixed all the stereo loops.

This pack is formatted in Apple Loops and Rex.2 for total versatility. The incredible amount of one shots in this first collection are ready for use within NI Battery 4, NI Maschine, and Logic Exs. KLI Series

This product is part of Big Fish Audio's KLI series, which includes a custom Kontakt interface. The Kontakt format features patches of each loop. Customize each loop with the "sliced loops" patches. The Sliced Loop patches lay out each individual slice of a loop across the keyboard, making it easy to create new and original custom parts. The "Kit Combos" allow you to arrange full construction kits quickly and easily with a custom mixer and a host of included fx. Create, arrange, tweak, and mix all within the Kontakt format.

Legendary: R&B Classics includes Drum Kit and Drum Menu patches. The Drum Kit patches include all drum loops and single hits from a particular construction kit. The Drum Menu patches include all the one shot samples of a particular piece of the kit, e.g. claps, kicks, snares, hi-hats etc. In addition, Legendary: R&B Classic includes Single Instrument menu patches. These patches include all the loops from each individual instrument laid out in menu style.

The KLI version of this product comes in both Kontakt 4 and Kontakt 5 versions. For those with the full version of Kontakt 5, take advantage of the new high quality and extremely flexible new time stretching algorithm as well as a bunch of new included FX.

Kontakt4/5 Version

- Legendary: R&B Classics includes nearly 2 GB of content with 360 different kontakt patches.
- Sliced Loops - There are 322 ?sliced loops? patches. Each loop from the product has been given its own patch and can be edited extensively using the ?loop fx? interface. The full loop can be triggered at C0. The loop can be played backward at D0. Individual slices start at C1 on the keyboard.
- Kit Combos - 16 patches are included in the Kit Combos section. Each patch contains all the loops from that construction kit to create quick and easy arrangements. Loops start at C0 on the keyboard.
- Drums - This section includes all multi-track drum loops (starting on C2) and all single hits (starting on C4) giving you complete access to create your own custom drum parts.
- Single Instruments - These patches are menus of each included instrument all grouped together. Single instrument patches include: bass, guitars, keys, pads, piano, rhodes, strings, synth, wind instruments and all Drum loop Elements. (Clap-snap, Cymbals, Hi-Hat, Kick, Shaker, Snare, Tambourine)
